Default cams cams cams, how about bottom ends?

do bottom ends not play a big role in naturally aspirated setups? you dont see many arguements over bottom end parts. it just seems to be cams. yes i know cams are the biggest part of an NA setup, but whats good for the bottom end. i was looking into crowers complete bottom end package, 2.1L with an 84mm bore. or eagles complete bottom end. what are some opinions on the bottom end, i want to stroke and goto a 2.1 with a 12:1cr.

Bottom ends do play a big role in allmotor power since more power can be found in (1) increasing displacement, and (2) increasing compression. Also, bottom end builds increase strength and reliability. But everybody talks about cams because they are probably the cheapest way to increase power significantly. Building a bottom end costs ALOT more.

very true spend about 4000 grand hooked up to build mine froma 1.8 to a 2.1 liter

LS block

so it get costly and most peeps won't bother as it gets risky and if not don't right cost more then that to fix and start again

everything part that moves, has gases, electricity, or has liquids flowing through them plays a role in any motor.
