Tein SS suspension
I don't know how tech this is but how much of a drop will you get from a Tein SS suspension on an EK??? I want my car low but i haven't see a lot cars dropped on teins, would liek to see some pics too if you got them and yes i searched but i was not satisfied with my results
u can't dropp too much on the SS cuz you'll have no strut travel and end up blowing the shocks/struts...

those are old pics of my car...I'm higher now, but I have extended strut "hats" so I gain more travel....

ok ill see if i can find a pic but....
picture a shock . now on the bottom of the shock where it bolts to the control arm , can be screwed up or down on the shock its self.

ok you see the 2 collars that you use to adjust the spring for ride height right?? you see that bottom one that is right on top of the bottom of the shock? well the whole shock is threaded , and you can screw in or out the bottom part then lock it with that collar , this adjusts the overall height of the shock . so if you lower your car 2 inches with the springs , you can adjust the shock height accordingly and still retain full shock travel. make sence?

I'm kinda embarrassed about needing to think about preload on that Flex kit for so long before I got my head around it.
When lowering the car with the springs, you thread the shock body down into the mount an equal distance, thus the piston stroke remains the same.
Right?
Anyhow, I have had the SS kit on my EK for going on 2 seasons. The price was right, and it turns out to be quality goods. I'd recommend it to you, but if you had the dollars I'd maybe go with the Flex. It sounds like you really want to dump your car, so maybe that kit would work out better for you.
I'ma post a picture after I wash the car.

the gunmetal one has the basics. but as you probly already know, those wheels are 16's and coupes tend to look lower than hatches for some reason

Someone want to help me out with SS suspention?... For some reason after I installed them the ride height is different for each wheel. I can't seem to get them the same height all around. I installed them correctly I know that much. but the rear end is down the bottem of the thread on the pass. side while the collar on the driver side is about 2 inch's up on the thread. but it's pretty close when I measure the center of the wheel to the fender. WTF is wrong with it?

use a measuring tape to measure the thread. or you can just count the threads

Heres mine with tein SS. The rears are as low as it can go, and the fronts have about 2 threads left...I really wanted a lower drop but oh well. The ride is so comfortable though...
