Default overheating

ok, i ran my car three times, and on da last race i saw my coolant meter heat up like crazy, up to 3/4, its usually a little below the half line. I thnk its the headgasket, because lately there has been some little bits of oil comming out onto where they stamped the b18c, but why does the headgasket make your engine heat up?

the answer to that is. The headgastket does not make you car heat up, it's there to keep the oil and water passage seal so you don't leak. Might want to check your coolant to see if you have a air bubble, then tend to make your car heat up once in a while and check your oil.
