in what kinda condtion is the jdm front end when it arrives??
i just order a set of jdm front end and wont be comin in till 4-6 week and im just wonderin what kinda condition will it most likely be in.
it will be in fair condition. Of course it won't be painted the same color as your car, and it will more than likely have some paint scratches, and blemishes, but what can you expect from a front end that is 13 years old, and has been shipped freight from Japan, to wherever you bought it from, and then freight to you.
it's going to have rust spots, dents, and missing parts. don't expect anything wonderful. that's what prepping and painting is meant for. your more than likely going to have to polish the plastic headlights and lenses. i have to weld on a new piece on my ef fenders because of the rust, was it worth it.....no....did i need to replace some parts yes...and that's the only reason i bought it.
It's going to have dents and scrapes on it that will need to be fixed. The toughest part I think is the bumper, if you bumper is bad and scratch up pretty well you could spend 250$ or more to have the front bumper fixed.
Get some 3M plastic polish for the lights, it works wonders.

Im looking to get a front end as well, whered you get yours from? Who has the best price?
DO you really have to modify a lot with this front end?

well here you go...i just picked this up from hmotorsonline.com...I must say it was in good condition. not dents, no huge scraps, not rust..nothing that needed repairing I can't wait to install

not pictured are the lights which were still in good condition and they actually went out of their way to find an extra plug so I could hook up the headlights properly!!
