Plannin V-tech head swap on SohC ZC...need advice

Default Plannin V-tech head swap on SohC ZC...need advice

i got a SOHC zc and i was wondering if i should go with a y8 head or a z6 head? how much will it cost for the mini me? and what numbers will i be pushing after all is said and done??? thnx everyone

Do you have the vtec or non-vtec sohc zc? If you have the non-vtec it will be pretty much identical to doing the mini me on a d16a6. If you already have vtec, then why?

The cost is totally dependant upon what kind of deals your able to haggle......

one of my homiez says he knows a person with a vtec head and he be SMASHING on b16's off the line and he also said that he pushin out like 170-180 with his setup...forgot what my homie told me but it was around these numbers

170-180 is possible if the motor is bored over + crazy cam + headwork + good boltons. Search for Bauleycivic's mini write up. Have fun & GL.

but yeah, i agree with what he said, same numbers as the block is the same as the a6. i'm going thru this setup myself but probably just use z6, y8 can give you higher compression.
