Default HID gurus i need some help.

i recently aquired an HID kit. one of the bulbs is bad and im having a hard time sourcing it. could anyone help me find this bulb....

some identification numbers and stuff. on the side it says HID followed by METALPOWER h4-35W it is a 6000k bulb.. however this might seem easy to source the problem is theres a harness coming from the plug which conects to the ballasts and so forth, so im trying to source the same bulb or something that is capatible with my hid kit.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I can't help you source a bulb, but that's the exact kit I used to have.

I bought it from a guy here on H-T (whose name I have since forgotten...he used to sell a lot of them).

I also see that you're in WA. Out of curiosity, did you happen to get this kit from Jesse Lee? I traded him my HID's for an amp....he ended up scamming me.

BTW...I'm trying to search through my old posts to find the name of the supplier I got my kit from.

I'm not having much luck though because my name was different then and when I do an archive search it says no user exists. *sigh*

Well I can tell you the box on mine just said

"Metal Power HID Kit" ...and had a Hella logo up in one of the corners. And then had a bunch of Japanese writing all over it.

It's just a one-off kit that may be pretty hard to find. They just happen to use Hella ballasts. Tracking down a bulb that exactly replaces a stock bulb may be difficult.

I may have pictures of my box somewhere...I remember taking some when I was selling the kit. They're probably on my old computer so let me shut this one down, plug in the old one and see if I can retrieve it.

A picture may help you out..I'll post back in a moment.

Crappy pics, yes...but here's a picture of the box. It's still nothing more than HID Metal Power, just like on the bulbs.

BTW, are you sure a bulb is burned out? I remember on my kit one of the wiring harnesses for the bulb [the wiring harness with the actual bulb] wasn't exactly tight and the wiring would pull out of it if you weren't careful...which would cause the bulb to not work.

well when i plug this bulb up it just flickers and dies. im not 100% sure if the bulb is bad. but when i plug the good plug into the ballast it works fine. both ballasts are fine and 1 bulb is good. i just need to figure out why this one is acting up. im gonna check the bulb harness. but i dont know where to start how did you trouble shoot it when you had issues with yours?

BTW thanks for your help
