Just saw an ad for a 2001 F4i that I was looking at. Guy says that he used it for long trips so it's got high mileage on it, 26000. It has a bit of cosmetic damage because someone backed into it and knocked it over in a parking lot.

He’s selling it for $4,000. I'm just wondering if this sounds like a good buy. Is there anything I need to be especially careful about with those high miles? It looks like he took pretty good care of it.

Thanks for any advice. I've been wanting to get one of these bikes for a while, just can't find one in my price range... yeah know.. in the poor bracket.

no that bad on miles i say go for it if its in ur price range i love mine

 

Try and get him to drop the price a little more those miles are pretty high but non-the less 4 grand isn't a bad price at all.

 

drop the price or no. i bought my 99 F4 with 15,000 miles, very good condition, ran great, and in california so prices are bit higher, for same price as that one. and i'm sure i coulda gotten it for cheaper, but i really wanted it and didnt want someone else to get it

 

decent price...i was going to sell mine for 4500 with 16k miles so thats decent...
