pm6 AND pg7 ecu questions.
hi all. I was trying to search about these two ecu's and i couldnt get a solid answer, so i am asking you all now. here is what i am trying to figure out.
I have a 91 si with a pm6 ecu. I have a zc installed and i want to use my brothers PG7 ecu in my car so i can have a better fuel maps and whatnot.
But will my pm6 ecu work in his 87 integra if i swapped his ecu into my car? lol his car just sits and he doesnt drive it much at all. I just wanted to know if my pm6 ecu will work in his car with no problems. Just something i have been trying to search for but cannot find a solid answer. (or i am just not searching right) Any hel would be appreciated. Thanks Justin.

I know for a fact 87 is different, I dont even think it will work, if it oes work then your car will run like ***.
Search for a minute, another person on here bought an 87 pg7 and had no idea why his car sputterred and stalled, found out it was an 87

are there pyshical differences in the 87 and 88-89 integras? i know one has wrap around turn signals, and the other has smaller amber bumper turn signals. the one my brother has is the smaller amber turn signals. i dont know if this helps at all.

NO.
The 1986-1987 Integra uses a mechanical advance distributer and is missing a couple of sensors. I don't even know if the car would run with a PM6. But even if it would, it would run like crap and throw lots of codes. You might try going to some pick-and-pull type yards. Although the 1988-1989 ECUs are fast sellers, nobody wants the 1986-1987 ECUs. So the right ECU should be easy to find.
