The CAT water pump I got off ebay for a friend arrived today. It looks like it'll bolt up to the block fine, but it came with no sprocket. There is a spindle with 3 bolt holes just like a domestic car.. anyone have any experience with these?.. I need to know what to do for a sprocket. Their site doesn't seem to have any parts nor info about the sprocket: http://www.catpep.com/catprodu...p.asp

 

I'd contact CAT directly and find out if the sprocket is supposed to come with it. If not then order one. Honda water pumps come with the sprocket. They are pressed on, not bolted. It sounds like the guy didn't send you all of it. Good luck

 

Yeah, I was 99.9% sure the b16 water pumps were just the same as all the B18s.. save the teeth. I wish I had a digi. cam. that wasn't in 5 pieces so I could put a pic up. I'm going back & forth via email with CAT and they've been a very slight help. First they just told me I was sold the wrong part. Then they said it'll only fit an "Accura 1.6 and 1.8..." On their site it says this:

WP-1800A ACCURA 1.6/1.8 Al.Water Pump, Intega, 87-95

That is the part I have, it is all that they originally shipped to the original buyer as I was sent the part in the original container with the original packing and logo on the box. ..so if it'll fit a 94-95 LS, then it'll fit a B16 right? What gets me is they say Integra 1.6. I'm pretty sure these guys have no clue what they're selling.

I guess not, not even the manufacturers know wtf is up with their parts
