Default PR3 obdo ecu causing problems/PR4 works???

ok,
i got a 90 crx b16swapped obdo, when i use a pr3 ecu my main
relay "clicks" and then my car cuts out for like 1/2 second, all the time.
so i temp. put a pr4 ecu in it just to drive , drove it for 3 weeks no problem, today i got my new pr3, put it in and with in 4 minutes
the relay clicks and car cuts out.
??????????????
any ideas at all?
i have replaced the main relay 2 times, fuel pump, cap ignition coil, wires
,plugs, grounded all grounds.
i dont have a clue now????
thanks

oh yeah when the pr3 check engine light comes on, the light on the ecu stays solid?

Thats funny. I guess i would take the cover off the ecu and see if u can see any burned areas. You can even smell it to see if its toast. I have never heard of this problem...

neither have I am well only well a chip I had a problem with the check engine light flashing but not like this

I would think maybe something to do with the fuel injection??

or vtec

but that is werd

as they both are dohc ecu's

expect that one is for vtec and red lines at 8200 rpm

damm

you can use a pr4 with some sort of vtec controller or rpm switch, with a lot of advantages. The only downside is that you have a beat rev limit. Good luck workin it out.

Just hook everything up like you normally would. It's pretty straight forward, I personally never used a switch but I i'm sure it cant be hard. Do you have a V-afc or Fields? Just hook it up and you should be good to go.

Im havin a similiar prob with a pr3 from a JDM Xsi B16 swap for a DA teg. Mine doesnt completely cut out but it is throwin codes. I checked my wiring and there was a mistake and even after it got fixed it still runs like a pile. I guess im gonna have to try chippin it and seeing where i get with that. ? ? ?

it sounds like the ecu is faulty, OR some clown tried to chip the ecu's and just screwed everything up...

try to get a ECU from a working car, thats the onyl way to tell...

but from what u say the PR4 runs fine, ur ECU is toast...

i have a chipped (working )PW0 if ur interested, PM me
