Default Need some help with my suspension. (Actual help, not forum help)

Im in Syracuse, Ny. Never installed shocks and coilovers before and dont have the tools to do it. And id rather not take it to a shop if I can avoid it, (plus id like to learn how for future reference). If anyone is willing to help ill buy ya some dinner or something to compensate. Its for my EG.

Thanks.

You can do it yourself. All the tools are standard type tools except for spring compressors and there's nothing unusual, just bolt on type stuff. Lots of work though. Be careful with the springs.

yeah the rear strut bolts almost always seize up, they did on mine, you might have to but the bushings too if the head breaks, i think total the replacements costed me like 36 dollars from honda and i have dealership discount

you might be right about the bolt thing, but it's probably rare or something. I've done it for three of my cars and about 2 of my friends. Never had that happen. I also use the 5-point sockets instead of the 16-point, just so I don't strip the bolts. Now the thing about having an experienced person help you....well if I had a bolt break it's get out the handy drill out or I'm about as stumped as u

It isn't that hard. With my 1st car, a 1997 Honda Accord EX, I did them in 6 hours with hand tools and a manual compressor for all 4. It's pretty straight forward. Rent some tools or buy the specific ones you need. If I was still in NYC I would help, but not anymore.
