Default Headlights Install, remove, replace.

What do I have to do to take the headlights out of my 88 CRX Si? From a quick look over it seams I have to take off my front bumper cover. Is it really this involved?

I know that taking off the bumper is cake. As for the headlights, I wouldnt think that they would be that hard....

Bumper is cake, 2 screws inner fender each side, 2 bolts each side behind bumper signals, 2 bolts on bottom side holding plastic flap thingie. Dont recall if bumper removal required for headlights as I already had it off when removing lights. But headlights if memory serves me, 2 bolts going from top down that hold it in, if they aren't there then you get to them behind bumper from the front of car. Sorry dont recall, can look when I get home.

Yes you have to remove the bumper. Its very easy as the others stated.

Then you need to remove 4 ten mm bolts I belive, the two on the top of the radiator support and two under the light.
Once you have the bumper off u will see them.

2 on top 1 under light.... and yeah, you have to remove the bumper, but it's no big deal

i know a different way to remove the bumper
just take the bumper lights and take the two 12 mm off (each side) using an extension

Thanks... they were 10mm:sti220... but again, thats for all your motivation... only took 2 hours... and that includes going to the honda dealership for those side marker clips.

I dig those headlights! Are those CRX projectors?

On a sidenote, what's w/ the little scoop thingy on the roof?

Yea, I hate the seat covers, not my doing. I just wish I could find a mint 88 Si seat to match my Passengers side... my drives side is ruff. Reason for the covers. And the roof scoop is gone next also, that is not my style. I get offended by the rice boy comment, I dont have any stickers. Plus, its whats on the inside that counts: DOHC Vtec.
