Default stripping oilpan by taking out the plug :S

ok my problem is, i was doing my own oil change today instead of normally bringing it to walmart. well not only didnt the plug have a washer, but the plug wasnt tightening back up...i called walmart and he tried to tell me that i could strip the plug/pan by taking out the plug i laughed at him and said impossible...i said only way is to cross thread it putting it back in and that would mean i would have a bitch *** time putting it back in from the x-thread and then take it out and try to put it back in and it being loose...

idk im ******* pissed, im not paying for a new oilpan when it wasnt my fault to begin with...

i only bring it there too...so obviously some ******* there cant do their job like i can...

Do they use an impact gun to tighten the plug or something?

they were the only ones who touched my car for oil changes...there are work orders for a bunch of them all within 3 months of each other or 1500-2500 miles...

But weren't you the last one to do your oil change? They can now blame it on you.

Dont worry about blaming anyone, its not going to get it fixed! Just get a bigger bolt to go in there and let it make its own threads!

Gator, get a brand new bolt and you should be fine.

The bolts threads usually **** up way before the threads in the pan do.

I've worn out about 4 bolts on my 2 rexes.

That's a lot of oil changes.

good luck man, i understand your situation, but you have to take into consideration the age of the vehicle.

good luck even making it to court, a multi billion dollar corp like walmart is gonna have every law aspect covered, otherwise they would be gettin sued left and right

if the pan is stripped then get you one from a junkyard and throw the old one in the clothing dept.

My local honda dealer has a tap that steps up the threads to the next size, and honda sells an oversized drain plug. I made friends with the service guys, and they let me borrow it for an hour to fix mine.

First off as said before take it to upper management and it will get taken care of, Ive worked in teh automotive industry long enough to know the customer IS always right.......

secondly go to napa/oreillys/auto zone and tell them flat out your drain plug is
stripped......they have oversized plugs which are also self tapping just insert the plug slowly bakcing it out once in a while then take it alll the way out then take it back in and tighten it up, that is as long as your pan is not to bad of shape, which I reallly doubt.

secondly Im sorry but in my book your a retard for taking your car to wal mart, the people that work there are ******* RETARDS.....thats why they work at wal mart, dont think for once second they really care about you or your car. but upper management should be able to handle your situation.
