Default Has anybody had any success mounting oil squirters in H blocks with the 95mm crank?

Im just kinda curious... Ive seen several say it cant be done, some say it can... The 95mm crank'd H motors Ive seen personally dont have them but since Im going to be building one with OEM pistons soon Id thought I might as well look into it...

Any info is greatly apreciated

yes you can mount oil squirters in the h23 and h22 block with the 95mm stroke of the h23. the have to be bent a tiny bit for them to clear the crank.

who ever said you can't mount them in is retarted. if you doing just a stock oem h23 build you don't need them, thats why honda didn't put them in the h23 in the first place, no need

if you going h23 vtec and are going to rev higher then thats a different story, you would def want them.

I couldn't get them to fit right, and I know another guy who has built 3 H23 VTEC's who couldn't get it to work, so he would just leave them off.

I'm sure they can be made to fit, I just couldn't do it. Besides, I believe that the oil pressure is needed more at the bearings than at the wrist pins.

hehe i never said it wasn't going to be a MAJOR PITA!

but the oil is used to cool the pistons and well as lubricate the cyclinder walls and wrist pins

oil squirters is a waste of time IMO. The oil is better used elsewhere.

Cast pistons need the cooling of the oil jets, forged pistons dont need it as much... Cast run hotter than forged and are more responsive to the affects of heat so its always a good idea if using OEM type cast pistons

Little baby my ***! Although I had no clue when I first started to work on my lude, but thanks to this site and preludeonlne I do everything myself and consider myself pretty smart (no master) when it comes to preludes.

You got me all I know is he kept calling me saying they wouldnt fit and I told him they would every time and eventually he called me and said he got them.

WOW for all I know he screwed me and just put on the oil pan Maybe Ishould check and be positive
