I like this CRX but its all the way out in California. I live in Chicago. Do you think its worth the money to transport it or fly to Cali and drive it back? My family thinks im nuts but my buddies want to drive it back with me. I dont really care but i could do a swap from a CRX around here.
What would you do?
A) Buy this CRX
B)Buy a local one and swap it yourself(but not have as much work to it)
thanks for your input
That seems like a good price, how long have you been looking? A roadtrip could be fun, but it could be an expensive hassle, I think I'd rather pick one up locally, but if you decide to go for it, I'd run a carfax first.
Fly out there, take a look at it, and get it shipped home if you like it.
Shipping should run ~500/600 or so
That doesn't look like the most comfortable car to drive halfway across the country in.

Are you planning on having this car as a dialy driver? If so, I wouldnt bother, it looks like it would be a pain in the *** to get in and out of. Dates may not like that either.
he already said that the roll cage by the seats are getting moved lower cuz its a pain in the *** to get in and out of. And my car isnt a daily diver just a fun car, i walk about everywhere. Im in college and everything is walking distance , or my guy drives. So this is a fun car ...

Just have your flight back a few hours later than when you arrive. It shouldn't take you that long to check out the car.
That is unless you want to stay the night and/or goof off for a while on the west coast.

Well i deffinately wouldnt want to fly all the way out there and ship it back thats stupid to fly back and spend the money for the extra ticket home and then spend like another 500-1200 for shipping when you could drive it back, if you buy it.Not to mention the long *** wait just to get your car.Trust me when my friend bought his turbo integra gsr from cali. it took almost a month after he bought it before dasautoshippers finally got it here.
I would defeintely buy it, but instead of shipping it back or driving it which would put mad miles on the car
I would rent a uhaul cube van, there 40 bucks a day and have ample room for a car, just ebrake it and leave it in gear and itll be perfect.
I dont know how long of a drive it is from both point, but it would be a comforatable ride and you wont get hassled by the cops
Then u just drop off the Uhaul at your local Uhaul rental place (totally legal to drop it at another location) and you saved a **** load of money/hassle and you know it was done right
