Default code 22 vtec oil pressure help

allright I have been running my b16a for some time without any problems with vtec kicking over. But I recently had some problems with the fuse that goes to the ignition, but it was just a bad fuse so my car would not start. but I changed the fuse and now I am pulling ecu code 22, and my vtec will not kick over. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get this fixed fast

thanks

Sounds like a symptom of a bad selenoid

check your oil pressure at idle. you should be able to light the solenoid into VTEC at idle, if there isnt enough oil pressure... it WONT. the solenoid is pretty uncomplicated... I am sure they can go bad... mainly from being in a crate for ages with salt water from JAPAN I bet

Put direct power and ground(battery) then hear for a click. If it does not click it's bad!!!!!

the soninoid is not bad, I put direct power onto it and it clicks over. however, I changed the oil and cheched the solinoid and the check engine light is still on. does any body know wich spots on the ecu to check for continuity between the ecu and the vtec sonlinoid. thanks for any info

allright I read 0 ohms from the vtec solenoid to the ecu. and the vtec is kicking over but I am still pulling cade 22. When vtec kicks in my car immediatly bogs down andbegins to back fire. and it goes slower in vtec then when it is in lower gears. please help

When have you checked the oil level last? Wait till the motor cools down and the oil settles, I had the same problem and the oil was just low. If that doesn't work have you cleaned the filter in the vtec solenoid? There is also a filter in between the whole vtec assembly and the head, you can clean both of those and that may help.
