my friend has a built d15 turbo on a tard trans. running on 8psi. He promises me that he will get 380whp when he goes to dyno...i said no way in hell on 8psi...probably not even on 20.....please prove him wrong..

 

what else does he have? i doubt 380whp. i'm going to guess more like 220whp. depends what his setup is.

If hes got a nice turbo cam and an aftermarket intake manifold he may hit close to 200...but I've seen stock tuned jdm d15bs hit about 200 tuned on 10 psi. Also depends on the turbo. The 200 was achieved with a Greddy kit.

Who cares what the setup is....at 8 psi on even a bored a stroked D15, its not making 380 whp

well you have to take into account, a guy like this probably has bullshit fuel managment, so I'm going to say 170. (I wanted 180, but it's too close to your guess )

stock crank (maybe machined)
8 psi
tci tranny kit
he using some piggyback i believe
bored/honed
crower turbo cam i believe he said

 

I'm gonna guess around a 180-200whp with about 145-55 ft lb of tourque. He needs alot more to get 300+whp

170... The TCI kit is kickass. It is capable of having consistant numbers at the track. But I don't wanna start a whole auto vs manual debate here.
