Default Analyze this

So I made some runs earlier tonight at the Wednesday Nights Drags at Los Angeles County Raceway in Palmdale, CA. As some of you may know LACR is 2,710 ft above sea level so I will also include the altitude corrected times for each run. Here they are:

1st run (Sea level corrected)

60ft : 2.410 -
E.T. : 14.701 (14.260)
MPH : 97.379 (100.300)

2nd run

60ft : 2.324 -
E.T. : 14.467 (14.033)
MPH: : 97.493 (100.418)

3rd run

60ft : 2.272 -
E.T. : 14.294 (13.865)
MPH : 97.178 (100.093)

4th run

60ft : 2.289 -
E.T. : 14.437 (14.004)
MPH : 97.560 (100.487)

5th run

60ft: 2.329 -
E.T. : 14.279 (13.851)
MPH : 98.946 (101.914)

My Setup

93 CX
93.5 stock JDM B18C
garrett t3/t04e - .60/.63ar, 60 trim
dropshop log manifold
spoolin performance 2.5" dp
spoolin performance i/c piping - 2" coming off of turbo, flared to 2.25" right
before the i/c, 2.25" from i/c to tb
tial 35mm w/g
cca 31x6.5x2.75 i/c
greddy type-s
vortech 12:1 fmu
missing link
msd inline pump
stock 240cc injectors
kteller 2.5" exhaust piping kit
magnaflow 2.5" muffler
2.25" cat
boost is set by the tial .45bar(6.5psi) w/g spring
91 octane

My suspenion is basically Ground Controls with stock struts. I was also rolling on M/T ET Drags 22x8.0x15 set at 15 psi. My burnout technique seemed okay because I had smoke coming from both sides; the ones I were able to get done right lasted anywhere between 3-5 seconds. Also, I launched anywhere from 4500-6000rpm but dont remember exactly where for each run.

Don't know what else to tell you. Comments, feedback, advice, and criticism other than the obvious (i.e. crippled turbo setup) are all welcomed.

have you tuned it? what is the hp and torque? weight of vehicle? seems like a low mph to me so maybe some more tuning is in your future.

I was running those times at lacr all motor in a coupe. Do a leak down test on your motor. Those times are really slow for your set up. And i mean really SLOW!

Lower ur tire pressure. 60 fts are pretty bad.

What kinda power are you making? Tuned?

I was running 14.0-13.99 at LACR in hatch/gsr motor/170whp on 20x8x14 M/T slicks. On those piece of **** slicks I was doing 1.8/1.9 60fts.

Thanks for all the replies so far. What do you guys mean when you guys say "tune"? As far as engine management I'm only funning an FMU and that is not tunable. Also, I am not throwing any CEL codes. I don't know the weight of my car or the hp/tq figures. I will do a leakdown test and check the compression in all cylinders.

As far as the turbo setup I am only running 6.5 lbs. of boost and the exhaust system is bottlenecked by a 2.25" cat. I will not raise the boost past that until I ditch the FMU and run some proper fuel management. For the slicks I was running 15psi. Is that too high? What psi should I have run them at? And what rpm should I haved launched at?

I know these times are slow that is why I am asking for advice. If there is anything else I should look into please let me know. TIA.

you probably should have ran about 10-12 psi in the slicks

tuned as in what is the air to fuel ratio, correct fuel pressure, yada yada. put it on a dyno and have someone tune with a wideband. you will see huge gains once you are tuned.

You should look into getting some bigger injectors, along with some sort of fuel controller. Most people have been successful on low to moderate boost with the Apexi AFC, but if you want to go higher get some sort of standalone.

And deffinately get it tuned...
