the USDM D-series transmissions do not come with LSD. JDM transmissions came with optional LSD.
the JDM D-series LSD's aren't great, so don't get your hopes up on them.
you'll be better off getting a D16Y8 transmission and installing a Quiafe, or Kaaz...

Check the Classifieds.

try your local junkyard.

hm okay.

but the problems with that LSD are:
they will most likely explode around 140whp
they're not rebuildable.

show me where u read that or who u know that did it. the lsd in that tranny is the same unit from quaife u would pay 850 for. so r u telling me that the 850 quaife will bust after 140whp

are you saying, "would i rather chose a Y8 with Quiafe, that has a lifetime warranty, and has easy rebuildable availability?" or "a JDM D15B tranny w/ optional LSD, that has hard rebuild parts availability, and very rare to replace?"

keep in mind that it will be hard to rebuild because there has been NO factory D-series tranny in the U.S.

theres good info here...

well its his money. he can do what he pleases. thats just my opinion, and a few others.
JdM_Eg_6... if you want it, go for it. goodluck to you w/ no hate

Quaife DO NOT make the honda diff, they have never supplied any OEM Honda parts The Only current OEM they supply is Ford, in the Focus RS, they are pretty much an aftermarket only organisation. The ATB diff they make is a clever version of the Torsen type 2 diff, altered to get round the patents, its also beefed up for race/rally applications

The Diff used in the ITR, EK9 etc is a Torsen unit, well in fact its a Toyoda diff (as they own torsen, and make the JDM bits ) they supply these OEM's http://www.torsen.com/oem.htm

However, i am still not convinced the D15B diff i have is a torsen, and until i have seen one mself or a pic of one, i wont be With all the peopple that have expploded them at more than 140whp, you would think there should be some pics around
