sports bike 60'ft.??
does anyone know what kind of 60'ft. sport bikes get? for example if a bullet bike ran 12.0 what would his 60'ft. be? and if i were to race a bike where would i have the advantage? off the line, from a 50 roll or top end?100mph+ if it matters what kind of car i got its a civic eg hatch w/b18c1 75shot(249whp 208wtq)
I don't know bikes actual 60fts. but we've raced quite a few of them from roll ons, etc. If you're dealing with a lot slower bike (like you mentioned 12.0) then you may have a better chance at the track on slicks. I don't know if you've run yours but my friend has his 2.0L LSVTEC on 80 shot and he runs consistent 11.90's in the 117mph range in his EH (on slicks of course). With the power you have I wouldn't try racing even a 600 from a roll on, I'm pretty sure they'll get ya. Brian raced an R6 the other night on 14lbs. (probably making ~400whp) in his EJ6 (could't go any higher since we were just tuning his FAST on low boost) and he was dead even with the bike. You just have to remember, with a decent rider most of the new 600's will do mid to high 10's pretty easily. Just my $0.02
if you can drive then the race will be up to the rider on the bike. I've seen guys run low 13's at the track on r1's because they can't ride. But then again there are the guys that can ride too. I used to run 600's in my boosted ls/vtec crx and it seemed like pretty good races until about 110 then they would gradually start to pull so don't stay in it past a quarter mile.
From what I've seen at most tracks, bike guys don't really launch their bikes that hard, in fear of pulling a 12 o'clock and crashing. They have a killer top end, so that pretty much makes up for a slower 60 ft. Your best bet of "beating" a bike would be during the first 1/8th...anything past the 1/4 mark and they'll pull pretty hard.
