Default VW 2.0 lip for your EF (and it doesnt look bad) 56K=

well my friend has a VR6 and he got a new lip. so i got a free 2.0 lip in the process. just goofin around i mocked it up to my car and it came pretty damn close. well today in auto tech i decided to finish the job. heres some pictures, they speak for them selves. the lip is from a VW 2.0 liter. or vw vr6 in this case

i used 10 screws, most of them were located around the corner bend. only 2 or 3 were on the "front"

i had to cut off about 1 inch of both sides, used a hacksaw and it took less than a minute.

a VW wouldnt have that little gap but since its not a VW ill just deal with it.

the moneyshot

no lip

fits pretty nice right there

ground clearence, ima hafta get used to this

Lip looks great!

What exactly is a 2.0 lip? I mean what years can it be sourced from?

looks okay...I dont like how it doesnt come up over the bottom lip of the bumper like OEM lips do, just gives it a more finished look. I think its too "round" for a 4th gen, like it doesnt look like it flares at the corners

lip is actually 2 seperate parts that go together
left side part#1hm-805-903-b41
right side part#1hm-805-904-b41

you are looking at $35

that fits 93 - early 99 jetta gti and golf
and $35 is the big markup probably $24 if you get list price
if you want it call a v-dub dealer and give em the part #'s

the 2.0L front lip is the same on the vr6.
all USA MK-3(93-98) VW GTI's and JETTA's came with it.
the EURO VR6 front lip is actually a 4-inch lip.

it look meaty as hell on EF's and my friends Viper Blue EF hatch was the one that actually started this whole craze for the lip.

Before i got into honda's i was into VW's and i had a spare EURO VR6 front lip from one of my old projects and i told him for the hell of it try it on and sure enough it fit and looked good.
this was back in 99'

i dont know if i posted pix of his car here but i had it all over jdmcivic.com

just click the link to my album or copy and paste if it dont work and there are 3 shots of his Viper Blue Pearl EF hatch in there.

http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/...m_boy

too bad i didnt get pix when he had the crx front bumper custom fitted and it looked like it came from the factory too.
heheeheh

well the EURO VR6 front lip and EK sides is a dope *** combo if your not too hard core in the JDM scene.

Looks good dude. Too bad I had to trade mine off. I had a Mk3 Jetta with a Rieger lip that I could've put on my EF.
