Default 20V ITBs on a D16Y7 engine

i know it's been discussed before about the toyota ITBs on a b-series motor but would it be possible to run the same set-up on my D16 motor. the reason behind this, is because i can't afford to do a DOHC swap on my honda coz i've spent a lot on my toyota already and since i'm upgrading my ITBs on my toyota i figured that i might as well use it (old ITBs) on my D-series motor. so, if i'm doing this what ECU am i supposed to use? do i have to go standalone ecu? if yes, what can you guys suggest.. thanks a lot for helping a newbie!
