Default 90-93 ls swap to gsr what is needed

i searched and could not find anything recent.... a friend of mine wants to swap in a gsr in to his 91 ls. i know its a cable tranny so he would have to retain his trans or get the hydro conversion kit. He will be using a newer generation 94 and up gsr is it a straight plug and play? i know vtec knock and a few others will need to get wired up. will 94 and up axles fit into the 90 if not what should he use? will injector plugs from old harness plug into the newer gsr injectors... anyone please help. if anyone has done the hydo conversion please voice your opinions if its worth it.
