Default gas pedal spring

ok i had to change my fuel line because i ripped it taking off the tank, so i had to take everything off in the interior. so im putting my pedal assembly back on, but i cant find where to put the gas pedal spring to, i see the little hole on the pedal itself but i dont know where it goes on the body

can someone please help me, a pic would be good too if anyone has there car apart enough to see it. thanks

Put the spring end through the hole in the top of the pedal. Now imagine a line going from the attached spring end towards the center of your steering column, there is a small hole in the corner of the bracket behind your dash. Ta-daa!

back from the dead...i am having this problem and i think i have it hooked right, but i cannot tell if its because the spring is not compressed fully "if its been stretched" or if has been inserted into the wrong position...anyone picture anything...thanks

[QUOTE=EL Vap133]Does this diagram help?

[QUOTE] kind of i just need to know where the other portion of the spring (part# 4) attaches...i have it mounted on a piece near the steering column but it doesnt seem right..."its mounted in like it seems an edge not made for it". This causes my idle to rise because of the freefall of the pedal and i just need to know if i have it in the righ tlocation or if the spring has just grown weak so i can pull it tighter...thanks
