its advance, not sure 2 or 4 degrees.

but anyways, the middle dot is 0, linning up the line to the left or to the right adanaces or retards it. 1 or 2 degrees. not sure how much.
i will look for my sheet that came with my todas. and let you know tomorow.

If you can post the sheet or someone else, that would be great! I remember a thread with it but can't find it.

Searched and found dead threads:

looks to be almost at zero.

vernier scales are fun to read.

from the toda web site.

• The graduations are the same as thoughts found on a vernier caliper, where in adjustments can be carried to 1 deg of the crank angle.(0.5 deg of the cam angle)

I would have to concur, it looks like zero, but due to parallax, it looks like its at 0.5deg...

Vernier scales rule.

Its 2 degrees advanced. These gears read just like the STR's. Go from the center, count how many degrees you want to advance or retard.

Start from the outside, count notches of how many you want to move.
Go to the inside, count the same number.
Match the outside notch with the inside notch and you're done.
