Removing pinstripes
I have a black 99 Prelude that has pinstripes and I would like to remove them. Can you remove the pinstripes easily? When I bought the car I had removed the "dealership sticker" they put on the car by heating it up with a hair dryer...could I do the same with the pinstripes? The only problem I think would be that you may be able to see where the pinstripes once were after they have been removed, as I just bought the car this past December, so the pinstripes could have be on the car for 5 years...
So, has anyone done this before or have any important info I should know before I attempt removing the pinstripes?
Thanks in advance.

You want to use the blowdryer to heat up the glue and pull the pinstripe flush against the car (helps remove the glue) and keep pulling. Then use googone to remove the rest of the glue residue.

Would this apply to stickers in general? I have a front lip w/ a JsRacing sticker on the corner...I bought it used a LONGGG time ago and it's bugging me enough now to make me want to take it off. The only problem is, I didn't think it would be possible since it's been on the lip for so long. Is there a way to take it off w/o damaging the paint?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yes.
I removed my pinstripes from my 91 accord about 3 years ago. So that means they were on for 10 years. You can't tell the car ever had pinstripes now and it looks so much better!

yeah thats how mine were, i couldnt even take them off in pieces....it was so bad. the car looks so much better though, but you can tell up close that the paint where the pinstripes were looks glossier.
