Default 99 SI exhaust fitment

Just wondering if a 99 civic SI stock axle back exhaust portion will fit up to a 96 DX hatch??

Thanks

I believe the SI part will be too long but I may be wrong.

Keep in mind he has a coupe. You will have to modify it to fit a hatch.

Well im asking because when i originally bought the car it had an SI exhaust, not sure if it was from a del sol si, eg si, or 99-00 si. I got an axle back from my friend a while ago and he lost my stock exhaust in the meantime. I got a citation last weekend and I wanted to know what exhausts fit right in without modification because the stock one I had before wasnt modified. Thanks for the free bump earlier too!

SI exhaust = too damn long for a hatch. The cars have the same B pipe, but the coupe is considerably longer than a hatch. You figure it out.

no it will not fit....from the header to the rear axle is the same length... the wheel bases on the coupe and the hb are the same. i just put the entire exhaust from a 00 si on my 98 hb. minus the axle back portion
need to know anything else...pm me. i just did some major work on my hb.

The wheelbases are the same, but the overall vehicle are not the same length. According to Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com)

2000 Honda Civic DX Hatchback
Wheel Base 103.2 inches
Overall Length 164.5 inches

2000 Honda Civic SI Coupe
Wheel Base 103.2 inches
Overall Length 175.1 inches

Now if the whole car that the exhaust was designed for is 10.6 inches longer how does the exhaust fit without any modification?

EDIT: Ah you sly bastard you changed it before I could defeat you with facts.

Just to clear things up the axle back portions are different. It will come close to fitting, just stick out a little. You should fine just for a quick inspection though.
