auto ecu vs. manual ecu

auto ecu vs. manual ecu
i am looking for an si ecu so i can do the mpfi swap on my dx 89 hatch, i have found a couple on ebay for pretty cheap but it doesent say weather they are auto or manual, is there any way to tell or, does it even matter
