Accord turbo- Super 60 or T-25
I've got an F23 and i'm ready to put together my turbo.
I have a Garrett Super 60, but the problem is it's used and old. It says 'Airesearch' on it and that's creeping me out.
I found a brand new Garrett T25 for really cheap and I was looking at that.
Since I have the auto tranny I wasnt going to run more than 6 lbs of boost.
I have an intercooler and a DSM BOV to go along with my turbo.
Since i'm not going for top end power (when was the last time i needed to go 150 on the freeway?) and my tranny can't handle much more until I swap it, would the T25 be okay or should I stick with my used Super 60?
I'm mainly for quick spool up and low end power on my daily driver. Thanks!

You should go with the t25. If you aren;t looking for gobs of power it will do good. Just from what i've heard, the automatic tranny doesn't hold much (maybe that's just for the v6?)
The t25 is kind of small but if you're looking for just a little boost during daily driving it's good. If you're looking to race, i'd get something bigger. If you want to keep the garret, send it somewhere to get inspected and possibly rebuilt. I have a t3/t4 turbonetics and i enjoy it
Btw, i went to payn to get my 4 door f23 tuned. I have a manual though. He said it was a "pimp" ride, with leather and everything. Nice guy, but i was there FOREVER.
I think i might try godspeedinc for tuning

Ha yea tell me about it. The only reason i wanted them to do work on my exhaust was because I needed custom welding for new flanges on a high flow cat. God bless Tom, he's one of the nicest guys i've met, and very helpful but it's been 4 months now for flanges...
I'm debating what to do

Ah, he was nice but kind of made it seem like i wasn't all that important. I was there from 9-5, with him only tuning my car for 3 hours. For the other 5 hours i just wandered around the shop looking at magazines while he walked off elsewhere. I understand he is the shop owner, but he had to take care of everything. No one else was answering phones or tending to people in front (for the most part.
We only made 203hp/209tq at 10 psi. It's rather low, but he criticized my exhaust setup (seems he does that to a lot of people?)

The T25 will run out of breath on your 2.3L. Even at "low" boost levels. What's your redline at anyways?
I would go with the T3/Super 60 just because you'll have more room to grow once you get a taste of boost....and I know you will! We've ALL said one time or another, "Oh, I'll just go with a low boost setup for now." But look at us now! Already got plans for 20+psi!
BTW, I believe AirResearch still uses Garrett parts. They just have their own cast housings. But from what I remember, they use Garrett wheels. But don't quote me on that.
