Default About what hp?

Ok heres the thing. The other day I was going to my girlfriends house and was acting kinda stupid. Well I was red lining every gear and was riding about 115 for about 3 min. (seemed like it was lagging and took forever to get there) Well cought up to traffic and had to stop at the red light. The car dies. I start it and it sputters bad so I'm like crap and pull off into the parking lot. Well it dies again, so I start it again and look back and notice it is shooting out white smoke. Then I smell it and it smells just like antifreeze. So I was like crap! I blew a head gasket, called my dad and he said the same. Had it towed and the guy called today and said the same thing.

Well I have a 97 Y8 head that has been rebuilt. The mech said the head on my car was probably ok but with the high miles he would do a rebuild. Well I tell him about the y8 head and he says thats my best bet.

So here is my question. I have a A6 bottom end, y8 head with oversized valves and has been port and polished, intake, and 2 1/2 catback exhaust (with gutted cat). I know the vtec head on the A6 will raise the compression. About what hp do you think I will be putting out?

Also someone told me that because it raises the compression I will need to use premium gas, that's BS isn't it?

It does raise compression. I don't know if it will reaise it to the point where you will have to use premium gas though. Well, actually - with your dumb driving habits with going 115mph on city streets it will need premium gas. You're lucky there wasn't anyone doing a stupid move in front of you... like randomly pulling out of a driveway. You would have killed them.

No no no, where I was doing 115 was open road no drive ways, no traffic, and no red lights. I'm not that stupid.

8 freaking dollars!!! i suppose prostitutes want your first born child? you should run premium. just because noones on the road does'nt make it safer. it only takes one car to wreck and if you get banged up and knocked out the response time from any medical personell will be greatly increased.
