hI, I recently got a code 12 on my 92 prelude SI/SR, and i wanted to remove the sensor and maybe clean it... so i tried yesterday but the bolts seem to be in an awkward position to remove... has anyone removed it and how? pics would be appreciated!

I dont have any pis but of you remove the coil and use a universal bit you should be able to get them. And I had the samne probelm sojust use some carb cleaner and an old toothbrush and it should fix it.

remove the ignition coil, there should be two or three bolts holding it on and the wire leading too the distributor. Then take a 3/8 in ratchet, 6in ext and 3/8 swivel ("universal") extension and a 12 or 14 mm ( can't remember ) socket and remove the bolts. then remove the egr valve and use some carb cleaner and a wire bruch to remove the carbon in the valve. reinstall everything , then reset the ecu and your done.

I actually just placed a plate to block it off and I know what you're talking about. For me, a universal joint would not fit so I took a short 12mm socket with an extension and simply placed it on as far as it would go. It does not seat itself fully but it should give you enough leverage to actually take the bolt off. This bolt is the one on the driver's side. As for the one on teh passenger side, yah, remove the coil (it's where the distributor is plugged into) and from there you can actually get a wrench in there and move it enough to remove the nut.
