Default replacing motor

im going to buy a stock replacement motor for my crx in a couple days. the motor doesnt come with tranny but i have the one that is in the car now, my ? is how should i go about swapping the trannies? with the new motor in the car or on an engine lift?

Pull the old motor / tranny as a whole, then once outside of car take engine / tranny apart and attach tranny to new engine and drop it all in at once. Lots easier. Since you are taking motor out anyway be easier to get to bolts where you have all the room vs trying do it inside the bay or under car. Just my suggestion, but as always, do as you wish.

you'll realize how much easier it is to work on an engine once you pull your motor out.

take out motor/tranny as an assembly or you'll basically be doing double the work be separating them
