I don't mean by tan and black, but by actual sewing pattern and or "type" if there is one. Mainly I am asking because I want to be sure I am buying on OEM leather and not some aftermarket upholstery shop stuff.

The "types" that I know of mainly are differentiable by the lower back sewing pattern:

a: 1 flat piece exactly sewn as the fabric seats are
b: 1 piece sewn multiple times to give a segmented look

are these the same seats still or is one pair heated, jdm, 93+, vtec, etc, or what?

in 92 and 93 the leather came like you said 'segmented'.. 94-96 came with the 'flat' back, that is perforated leather, not textured like the 92-93 leather. Theres no differences in heated or jdm or what have you, only from year to year.
