quick question on the 5th gen
I am trying to find out, if a HID light kit, was ever available from the factory for the type SH. Also was leather offered from the factory, i know ive seen it on some preludes, but i was under the impression that was only on the JDM versions..?

i don't know if there's any truth to that statement. I know that HID's were not offered, but I'm pretty sure leather was. I got leather seats in mine, and i know several other luders who have leather seats as well. I know that all of these luders didn't have the dealers do this for them.
what you are really probably wondering is------ "can i get leather seats easily for my prelude?"--------and the answer is YES!

honda did not offer leather seats as an option in an effort to keep prices down. However, it was offered as a dealer installed option at many honda dealers. $1700 was the ticket to recover my seats. HIDs were not offered in any world market for the prelude. http://www.lightingillusions.com They can retrofit projectors into your headlight housings though. Very Clean!
IMO I don't think the leather holds up well. It gets too cold in winter time and too hot in the summer. Black leather in the sun will bake your ***. Stick with cloth--still looks great and durable. Get the HID's--I will never own another car without em! 8000K rules!
I love leather seats. My Probe GT had leather in it and I can't drive without it now. This Prelude I might be buying soon has black cloth interior
If anyone in Michigan/Ohio has any leather seats they're wanting to get rid of...let me know

I hate leather! I rather have cloth because with leather you'll get sticky after a while if your legs or shoulder's have been touching it after a while.
