Default compression quistion

does anybody know if you can run type r pistons and type r rods and a ls crank in a b18b for building an all motor ls or will i have to run a ls rod i want my cr as high as i can get it with out putting a valve through a piston

if you have a LS Crank, you need LS rods. you need a matching crank and rods to make it so you dont come up short, or shoot the piston into the head. unless you get a deck plate

you can put the itr pistons on ls rods with a little work (have I think 1mm shaved off of each side at the top). the same goes for ctr pistons (bigger dome, higher CR). itr rods on an ls crank cannot be done though, because the big end diameters are different. conversely, you could put in a gsr or itr crank and keep the itr rods, since all of those pieces are stronger that their ls counterparts (gsr crank are pretty cheap used).
