Default Brands of Clutches for a d16a6

I'm basically looking for a 1989 Crx Si clutch for my d16a6. My clutch is slipping on my car and I'm going to have to get one in the next month or so. I did a search and only came up with something that said if I were doing a swap or something. I'm keeping my stuff stock for right now. Best way to go right now imo. So just name some good brands of clutches out there, that won't hurt me on my wallet and where I could possibly get one close to home. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Oh yeah and post what clutches you're using in your 88-91 crx stock si's.

exceddy ( or what ever) makes one that can be had off ebay for like $110 that's better than an OEM one.

just a heads up...

92-95 civic clutches of any brand will work on an 89-91 civic/crx L3 transmission. use your existing flywheel, and the 92-95 clutch and pressure plate. the only thing that will not interchange is the throwout bearing.

I found this out when i bought an OEM clutch and all the parts store had in stock was a 92-95. it worked great until i upgraded to a clutchmasters stage 3 clutch.

I have an act clutch and I love it. If you’re upgrading I say get an act.
If you want to stay stock I have a brand new disk and pressure plate for an 89 if you’re interested.
Oh and you cant use a 90+ clutch unless you’re also changing the flywheel. The 89 have a smaller diameter clutch/flywheel then the rest. My act was for a 90 civic and I had to use a 93 flywheel.

How much are you asking for your clutch and is there any guarentees? All I want is a stock clutch right now, I don't want anything aftermarket no act's at the moment. I'll get a act when I do a motor swap later on. Thanks for the suggestions fellas.

My friend also has a centerforce dual friection. He's had it for like 2 year with everything from a A6 with JRSC to the current Z6 with greddy kit. No slips, no probelms and not only does he ride the clutch hard, he never "broke it in".

I think that's what I'm gonna get for my 250whp ( tops ) project.
