Default Help - problem with GC upper mount/AGX strut

any ideas how this could've happened? a friend of mine told me the same thing happened to his car minutes into driving with his newly installed koni yellows. he said it was an installation error but my struts were installed last august.

thanks for the help.

You need to put in #15 in this pic:

Yes, that #15 washer is important. It seats on the shaft where it gets thicker. It allows the shaft to stay put under the fender area.

I hope you didn't put a dent in your hood....or your friend's hood, whoever's car that is.

thanks for the help guys. i ended up just taking it out to look. believe it or not the washer was there but it cracked and began to get pushed farther and farther down the shaft. i banged it flat again, took the thicker washer from above the top hat (#6), put both on the lower side and replaced the top washer with 2 my dad had lyign around. i also put in 1/2 the old bumpstops since my cousin who orignally dropped my car left em out so "we could go LOWER." lol

there was a dent in the hood but it was to one of the ribs so it doesn't show on top. the hood was a little warped though. my dad and i pushed/molded it back as best we could.

thanks again!

isn't there a special adapter that you need to have to use ground controls on konis??? maybe you're missing that. (if you haven't fixed it already)
