The setup i'm trying to make is a D16A6 with a Z6 head. I want some rods that wont break at 12-13psi (T3 Super60) with out selling my left nut to buy some. I found a set of B18B rods for cheep that i want to pick up if i can buy pistons that have a 21mm wrist pin but a 75mm bore with a low enough comp. for a turbo. If i get some aftermarket ones how much will they cost? I dont have alot of $$$ to spend on this build. Thanks for the help
search . . . I have seena write up on this about using LS Rods & Z6 pistons, you need to get these bushings from crower. The rods, machine work, bushings etc . . . all came out to a total of like $175 or something like that and is good for like around 12-13psi i'lls ee if I can find the thread again.

I started to look into this when I found out eagle made titanium h beams for the b18a/b.
You need to mill .0215 off of each side of the big end so it will fit the crank. And you need to rebush the small end to accept a 19mm wrist pin.
From what ive read you have to use a piston that uses a floating style wrist pin. No oem press fit.
From what I remember It should be around but not more than 100 bucks to get it all done.

Yeah, talk to Kerry Novak at Crower, kerry at crower.com. $10 per bush, you have to provide him with measurements, and they can only be used with floating wrist pins. Aftermarket pistons, stunna, and it's cheaper for a set of Eagles.
Frankly, I've run stock D16 rods at 14 psi for short stints. It's borderline, but the ones that die quick are manufacturing faults or victims of poor tuning.

you can also use suzuki pistons, which are floating, not forged, but 8.5:1... thats my setup anyways, ls rods/arp/suzuki pistons/hasting rings
not ******* cus i got the same pistons and i'm debating what rods to use but now you got a 25psi capable piston mated to a 14-15 psi capable rod

I know they use the Vitara pistons to drop CR for turbo use in the G13B. Veddy innarresting!
How did the valve reliefs clay out when you assembled the engine?

It was not necesary to clay cause there was enough clearance. The piston is slightly shorter than the OEM Honda piston so it doesnt comes up flush to the top of the sleeve, added to that is that the top of the piston is not flat, it has a little "bowl" in the center.
I'm probably gonna order up a set of fjt's pistons... sounds great in combo with some LS rods.

my setup is gonna be the exact same LS/pg6, ARP, Suzuki, and Hasting and i plan on boosting 15-16 at the track and 7-10 on the street on a near stock bottom end.
