race car for sale !!!!
This is an 1989 Honda civic hatch Si with 120,000 original highway miles. The car has a complete roll-cage with nascar style door bars on both sides of the car, a brand new butler racing seat. All of the cage and safety equipment such as seat brackets, belt brackets and window net were welded in at a local race shop and the guy does great work. I took the car once this spring to the track and qualified 6th out of 25 cars and finished 2nd in my heat race(paved oval track). The car runs great too many new parts to list. I just don't have the time to go to the track and I can't justify the car just sitting in the garage. I have put many hours into this car and hate to have to sell it , so my loss is your gain. If you want pictures you will have to e-mail me at Placek4@yahoo.com or call me at 608 386-0167. My Name is Rick and I would be glad to answer your questions. I do have a car trailer that I will be selling also, I would also consider delivering the car for a negotiated fee. $3,000 obo thanks for looking.
Well, if you can get here, I'd think you can get to your email on yahoo!. At any rate... here's what I sent to the address you have posted above:
Rick:
Might be interested in your civic Si. Can you tell me what's been done to it, any pictures, and what racing classes it's legal for?
Thanks!

It's prepped for circle track racing. STS would require the complete interior.
Rick did send me pictures of his car. I put them on my web site for a friend to see. If anyone else wants, here they are....

Just raced the car on Friday and was fast qualifier and finished second in the feature. Too many cars to pass when you start from the back of the field.
Hi Rick,
Wow that's a great deal, tis ashame that I already bought a car. BTW for anyone interested in shipping a car, and just for reference, I shipped a car from Michigan to New Jersey for about 500-600 dollars.
Some questions that others may ask:
Does it have a log book?
What club did you race with?
What kind of spares/parts do you have?
Do you have more wheels and tires? (assuming whats on the car now are just for storage)
How much for the trailer alone?
Good luck with the sale!

I don't have any pic's right now but I can take some and e-mail them. The Trailer is a solid axel trailer with tongue brakes and sits very low to the ground. The trailer was origanally use for late model nascar type cars so it will fit a full size car and you would never have to worry about ground clearences with any car.
