Default Finally got to the track

Hey i just got back from the track...i have a fully gutted DA, with I/H/E, lowering springs, short throw shifter and 15x7 race rims, with nitto 450's...car isnt running perfectly i know for sure it needs tuned...but i ran a 16.37, 16.35, 15.92 @ 88mph...does all this sound right? im thinking of throwing in a b16 swap, people are telling me i can get one for 500?

not bad, with that trap you should be able to get 15.5's with a good 60'. Instead of swapping a b16 id either do lsVTEC or b18c. Just a word of advice.

i would hit the track again and run the hell out of the car to get a feel how to drive it down the strip. i took off a whole second between my first and second trips to the track.

I have a 91 Teg and I had just a K & N Drop in and 15 x 7 and I did 15.906@87MPH I now have put in a LS/VTEC w/b16a Tranny, I/H/E and other little things on 16 x 7 with Kummos 712 and my friend and I were hitting it and I was slightly pulling on him! He has a PT Cruiser Turbo w/Stage 1 upgrade. Before the mod on his PT he was running 15.5@92 now it is 14.6 to 14.9 ET this number is from the PT website. I have not done a thing to the bottom end same 220 000 Kms pistions and conrods and I rev to 8000RPM and it feels amazing! I also have full interior and spare when I run! I just don't let up on that gas! I am able to go from a roll @ 2000 rpm and hammer it and when the tach gets to 5500 rpm the tire let loose then squeel in to 2nd then a quak in to 3rd! Also have a Spider Trax LSU ( limited slip unit) to give grip to both tires! I will be going to drag strip soon !

I ran 15.30 & 90 the first time I went to the track on 17's. I ran consistent 2.3 60 ft times, and 6.30-6.40 330ft times. I went again with LS mesh rims, and some stock tires..., ran 15.3 again but I couldn't hook up for **** compared to the tires on my rims. *shrugs* I have a 94 LS, with 140k on the clock, I/H/E. stock cat, never changed.
