Clutch Fork Boot, Is this normal?

Default Clutch Fork Boot, Is this normal?

wondering if this is normal to have this slit. i dont remember if it is supposed to be there. Wont dirt and debris get in there?

I think that's normal, I'm pretty sure I dropped something in the top of that boot last time I was working on the car and pulled it outta the slit in the bottom. I could be wrong though.

That is to cool off the shift fork from the mad 3rd gear vtak upshifts - Dennis

yes it is normal. Nothing to worry about.
