Default Check out my new car...PROJECT: PUMPKIN POWER

Well i just got this car few days ago..a 90 Civic Si thanks to hatchii on this board. I must say this is a plast to drive although i cringe a little when i look at it. But anyway i'm bringing this car from rice to nice slowly but surely so check it out in the beginning and be amazed in the end!!

a little dirty...and a lot orange WOW, there is even glitter in the paint

the wings west kit is already sold and will be boxed up tuesday.

i will be sad to see this go..but need the money so i'll be stock for a little while.

These are my new pride and joy..they aren't going anywhere!!!

so as it stands, the b16 is gone and will be replaced by a d16.
autopower roll cage is gone and i'm going back to full interior.
wings west kit is gone....replaced by EF9 front conversion just bought at hmotorsonline.com
5zigens? i may keep them until I get something better, i'm thinking of Work RSZ

so check it out as i slowly update and build the car of my dreams.

Why in the world would you go from a b16 to a d16? Is there something wrong with this motor?

Well, he said he needed the cash, perfectly good reason to me. I would still sell something else though, sheesh, its a nice platform to start with, oh, and go back to black, unless you like the color, the engine bays still black, so.....

i'm gettin a d16z6 and conversion to obd1 with p28....

done by a shop..

so the d16z6 + professional install + $1000

in exchange for my b16 is not too bad, i don't know i love the engine, i've had a few b-series before but i really need the money, this exchange will practically pay for the car....i want to go back to d-series turbo that's the goal.

Hell yea that's what I was going to say. That paint is awesome and it's a clean kit. That's not rice by any standards

Why buy a modified Civic as a project if your getting rid of everything that's on it?Wouldn't be cheaper and easier to start with a bone stock exemple?

Well, that depends. If he got a good deal on the car as-is, then he can get more for selling the "mods" and can put that cash into other parts or whatnot. Sounds like an alrite idea to me.

what you can't see in the pictures is that there is gold flake/glitter in the paint and sparkles magnificently in the sun...little rainbow sparkles it's sooo pretty.

I know it is none of my business but, you NEED money, so you sell the kit and the engine and get a d16 + $1000 and ordered a EF conversion. That doesn't sound like you needed money to me. Maybe you meant something else by it???

Keep us updated on the car though. What color are you going with since you don't like the glittery orange??

he sold the kit, then used that $$ towards the jdm conversion, then he traded his b16 for a z6 + $1k if I understood correctly. If so, that = $$$

clearly there seem to be discrepencies of cost so let me break it down..

91 hatch = $2200
-body kit $400
-Autopower bar $250 (+rear bumper)
-b16 swap $1000 (+d16z6)
+ JDM front $550

= $1000 for a perfectly running civic si with complete tein HA suspension, st swaybars, 5zigen rims, and JDM front conversion

seems pretty good to me.

ok I got you now. I read it as if you were selling the B16 and getting the D16 and paying $1000 to get that put in. But hell yeah you came up!!! You did the right thing, I guess, if thats what you wanted.

You could have sold the car as a whole for more and then bought another one for less and have done all the thing's you wanted and still have money left over.
