Question on ZC timing belt change...
For some reason I can't seem to get the timing marks lined up on the cam gears when putting on the new belt. Is the mark on the oil pump and crank belt pulley the ones to use to set the crank at TDC or is it the mark on the outer belt cover and crank damper?
Seems like I've done it 5 times using the crank belt pulley and oil pump mark but for some reason it just doesn't seem to come out right...

yeah i did a install write up for them, what i found was easy to hold the gears in place was take off the valve cover and put in a allen key or a punch should work in the holes on the cam gear which makes them at TDC, and for the crank i lined up the line on the crank itself with the arrow on the block for tdc...then do it up like you would install another tbelt...
Well that's what I thought I did, but after turning the engine over a couple of times the marks don't line up on the cam gears when the mark on the crank is on the one on the block...the marks on the cam gears don't seem to line up exactly. I saw your article and pics and will use them when I try it again. thanks
