type r head on b16
Like he said...the type R head is EXACTLY the same as the b16. Only difference is the slight P&P, valvetrain, and cams. other then that a R head is basically a B16 head with mild port and polish...
if you wanted to put the cams tand the valvetrain in the b16 engine, you dont need a new ecu, but it would make a lot more power if you had the ecu chipped. putting a type-r head on a b16 bolts right on, but as they said they're nearly identical, so dont spend the money on the whole head.
Is it useful to skim off 0.15-0.25 mm off the head B16A1, coz the engine has done 130K miles, d't want put too much stress to it.
How much compression ration would raise if skim off 0.15, please help.
