b18 setup with STR throttle body and intake manifold, what throttle cable bracket are you guys using? ANy pics???

 

You either have to fab one or use a GSR TB with a bracket already on it.

 

Fab is my middle name. I just thought there might be an easy fix. I dont want to spend hours making something I can pick up at a junk yard.
Anyone have any pics of theirs??

Yeah I search forever for a easy bolt-on fix.The GSR is the only way but it makes the cable come up and out the passenger side of the engine,I hated that....anyway,this is what my bracket looks like welded to #4 runner...

Scott sent me a bracket but I must be stupid. It is two pieces of 1/4" square about 5"long with holes drilled and machined into it. What do I do with it? I have held it at every angle but cannot see where it will work. By the way I am very impressed with the intial quality of the products.

 

maybe they bolt together like a "L" then bolt up to the TB?

 

I thought about that but could not find a way of making that work. I will get some pics and post them tomorrow.

 

i did one but unfortunately, i dont have a camera. it's like an itr cable but the bracket is longer and notched for the #4 runner. ill try to get a pic soon

 

i have the h22 str manifold,i use the gsr bracket and gsr throttle cable and i zip ty my cable to the brake lines running along the fire wall "works for me".

 

golden eagle has a universal throttle cable bracket that works with their intake manifolds... im pretty sure it would work with the str as well

 

Would you happen to have a part number, I cant find it on their site?
