does anyone live in New Mexico?
Im trying to find some 4th gen honda people who live in new mexico that i can chill with and that wouldnt mind helping me out with my engine swap when I get the new motor.
hey man where in NM are you in live in Albuquerque, NE heights and i'm gonna be doing a ZC swap into my CRX in about a month hopefully..but i'd love to try and help.
yo, thats the city im moving to, couldnt spell that. Im moving to the NW in paradise hills. Im saving up for the b16a1 swap. Im getting a complete swap for 1200, that includes tran. But thats going to take 8 to 9 months before i get that. You said you hope you get your zc in a month, well if it takes you longer than that to get it and you need some help I will be glad to help. I dont move there for another month and a half. what are you getting with you zc, trans, what?
Well what happened was on monday (May 24th) i was driving to work and my car died...
...and after thinking about it and looking over what i can save up in a few months i figured i'd just spend the money on a ZC (the black cam cover DOHC non-VTEC),i found one on http://www.hmotorsonline.com for like $500 and because i have the 91 Si i can just use my Si tranny..but...i am seriously thinking about waiting for alittle bit longer and putting in the ZC ECU. i mean its ment to be run with it so why not? I know the Si EU will work but you don't get the full potential and the 115 mph cut off?..it doesn't bother me cops out here will ram you off the road if you are going over 100mph so i'm not gonna push my luck. either way yeah i'm looking at just the engine and ECU right now. maybe after a few months (if this engine isn't as much as a lemon as the stock) i'll probably get a turbo kit. as for looks for my CRX..not for a long time, i don't are what my car looks like, andi don't care what people see of my car. Either way..what made you decide to move out here? New Mexico is really boring. just something i was wondering.cool man hope to hear from you soon

My dads military, trust me, this place is a sh*t hole. New Mexico cant be any worse. I only got 2years left with my parents then i can move warever. Im getting my b16 from http://www.japanstarmotors.com for 1200 and free shipping anywere in the U.S.A., but its a complete swap. cause I dont like my tranny, its a automatic. Im also considering a zc cause its cheaper, but I heard there harder to find parts for, well performance that is. What went on your motor. Also at http://www.alljapaneseengines.com they have a zc, tranny and ecu for 750. I love crx's, but I got a hb cause there cheaper cars in Va. A crx here is about 2,000$. Mine was 800$. Well as I said if you need help with your swap and im there, ill help. Yo, is there any chill spots in New Mexico, like were other imports hang out. Cause here in front of auto zone a bunch of imports park and chill. Well I hope to hear from you you man.
yeah i was thinking about doing the B16B swap first..but then i saw the price tag
and after you live here and see what every place pays (i make $8 an hour) you'll see why there arn't alot of import cars that have alot done. Most of the kids out here with imports have civics with intake exhaust and rims... and they are convinced that their little civic hatch is doing 11 seconds in the 1/4 mile. But finding real fast imports out here to race is pretty simple...Eubank (right up the street from me) at the Sonic drive-in at 11pm on a friday or Saturday night. Only thing is that EVERYONE knows this..AKA Johnny law and cops wait for all the cars to leave and any reason they have to pull you over..BLICKETY BAM they will pull you over and get you for it. My friend (who also has a CRX) go tpulled over for 1)car being too low..2)exhaust tip being too big...3)star in his windshield.4) subwoofers were too loud...and the list goes on. it was ALOT of little things but it added up to like $400 in fines and he didn't find the race spot.
as for me and racing like that..no not here in town. If i want to race i drive back to my old town (25 miles south of Albuquerque) and find some of the ricers..then go out to our old spot where we can race on 1 year old road (almost brand new) for a few hours...no traffic and the cops USUALLY don't mind anymore. But i perfer that because i don't like the idea of racing around other people who arn't racing. either way i might just wait till you move here to do my swap, i look forward to meeting you
hey if you have yahoo messanger IM me some time mr_valentino20032000
