i think its like 35 lbs. heavier than the stock bumpers and side trim peices.....if your weight **** then of course you would run slower!

It is heavier then stock, and I myself am quite a weight ****. I removed both bumper supports and made brackets to hold my bumpers on. I'm contemplating pulling the door caps back off and cutting the metal underneth out. Its not hard to make up for the 36lbs if you are fairly creative. Sombody was once telling me their CRX had a heater in it, what a novel idea................ I say if you like the kit go for it, besides if I remember correctly the Mugen kit of which the ww kit was replicated was designed in a wind tunnel like all Mugen kits. So ti should flow air better.

thanks... Thats what I figured... I guess if Mugen did it for race... then it is better to be airodynamic, then to be light.

i dont think the weight is that big of a deal, the larger openings in the front allow your radiator/intercooler to cool better, abd like was stated above being designed like the mugen, it should still keep the same aerodynamic effects.

not to mention i just like the looks of it.

Doing something like getting lighter weight wheels is gonna make your car feel a lot faster than any difference you'll feel from having the WW kit on or off. I have the fiberglass WW kit, and it doesnt seem much heavier than the stock stuff if at all. I'm not familiar with urethane or its weight or anything though.

If you're concerned about shaving every pound off your car, then you probably wouldnt have a body kit to begin wtih. If you like the way it looks, its worth a few extra pounds. It's like A/C. If you like being cool and comfortable, its worth a few pounds imo.

I pulled urethane sideskirts and doorcaps off my ef. They weighed a TON, I can very easily imagine a car feeling slower after they are installed.

If I get motivated enough I'll find a scale and weigh them. All I was saying is that they weight alot. Simply that.

Then again, I care about weight in my car since I track it. So something that adds 30-50lbs is significant to me.

And that last comment just reminds me of the sticker "No fat chicks or car will scrape"

30lbs is alot, but my 91DX is stripped of everything non-essential and I cut weight myself, (lost 5lbs, hell yeah).

Though I dont have a choice, I have CRX fenders and the lower trim doesnt match up, so I have to get side skirts.

Could save weight by going with the fiberglass version? Or at least just for the sides of the car?

They should make a Wings West kit in carbon fiber.

if they're getting 100-150 on CF front lips.. i doubt a whole WW RS kit would be cost effective.

If not the whole thing, maybe the front and rear bumper.

just the front and rear? are you trying to just avoid weight in general? if so.. ide rather have a JDM front end, and rear bumper with no supports inside.. and a clean "japan/homeland" look.

maybe its just me... but CF woudldn't be cost effective.

I just bought a WW "replics" kit. It's Fiberglass with blue gel coat..it's very "rough" and will probably be a PAIN in the *** to mount. But I'm starting tonight...woohoo.

I'll start a post as I will have questions. More likely just on how to mount the door caps.

I'm just saying though. IF they did make it in carbon fiber, maybe make the front bumper in CF.
