i recently put a b16a2 in my '98 civic and am using a short ram intake. i'm wondering if a cold air intake or factory intake will make my car run better cause this north carolina heat makes it run like ****. the only time it seems to run good is on cool nights. will it run bad in the summer either way? what should i do?

well chief let me tell ya, if you live in north carolina its hot and muggy ive been there. A cold air intake is still going to suck in hot air if its hot outside.

Its called a cold air intake because its not recirculating engine bay air. But from a dead stop its still going to suck in that hot muggy *** weather you live in bro.

So as far as something that will make your car run a bit smoother I say you skip the intake route and probably research some intakes that will enhance your throttle response.

Is there any slack in your throttle cable? Try starting off with removing that, it should help your car from a dead stop a bit.
