Default Need Lowering Howto

Could someone point me in the direction of a lowering howto to lower my 93 Hatch? I am going to be usin the stock struts for about 2 or 4 weeks but I just wanna get it lowered for a local honda meet. I will be using Progress Springs. Please help because the people Ive asked that I know locally to help me want like 100 bucks a corner to lower it and with a little bit of instruction I think I can do it myself

Thanks

$100 a corner that is insane! Takes 45 mintues max to install springs if you know what you're doing. Do a search I'm positive some one has posted a how-to. You might also want to look into finding a h-t member local to you that is willing to do the work for you for a low price.

That's crazy! You could buy all the tools you need if you had nothing and get it done cheaper than that.

if youre getting struts in a few weeks you should just hold off and do it all at once. Its a LOT less hassle to do struts and springs at the same time.

And if you search around youll find some honda kid willing to do the springs for you for like $50.

yeah...i would wait also if your getting struts. doing it twice seems kinda shitty when you can wait and get it all done at once and be done. i charge a bill to install lowering springs. there are shops that do charge that high of a price.

Good write-up. If you cant wait go ahead and do it. Then re-do it later at least you will get some more experience under your belt.

Sounds good. Be careful when you compress the springs...do this correct and dont screw off. Once you get them babies compressed they can really be dangerous...nothing you cant handle if done properly.

Have Fun. As a matter of fact I will be doing some Neuspeed/koni suspension on Monday or Tuesday.

100 a corner, or 100 at all, thats alot, i use to install them for free (well just for practice back in the days) its real easy, no need for a spring compressor, just step on the bottom of the shock and use an impact gun to pop the darn thing apart. point the top of the nut towards a wall. thats how i do it.

its good I own an air compressor and all of the tools, it was a bitch to do but it cost me all of 43.08 to rent the spring compressor from autozone and 5 hours of my time because it was but *** hot.

Now its going to cost me money for new agx's since I found out first hand why my car was riding like ****. They shocks are blown ARG!!!
