Default De-ricing my civic...question on rims

ok, i am going through a de-ricing phase on my civic. it had a blitz body kit with 17" Quantim rims with a huge *** guuba gaaba spoiler when i bought it. I recently had factory replacement bumpers put on with a JUN racing front lip matched with a type-r rear, and now its time for the rims to go. One of my good friends just purchased a '04 Civic EX and wants my rims in exchange for his 15's. Now i just need to know if these 15's will be a good choice, and wanted to know if any1 knew the wieght of them. Any comments would be great.

those are a popular choice, so i would go ahead and trade him. even u u eventually want diff wheels, the oem ones will be easier to move than the heavy *** 17's

Yea, i think your right, i might go ahead and trade him. The more i think about it the more i like it, the only thing is i just paid for band new Yokahoma Parada's but since its a good friend i thtink i'll let that go. But still wouldnt mind knowing some info on the wheels.

If youre hurting for $$ then by all means trade yourself to a set of stock rims. I personally like the look of 17s on civics. But if the stock look is your ting then by all means... the stock steelies are roughly 18 a piece. I can double check though

edit: yep 18 lbs a piece. you can fid info on http://www.wheelweights.net

I run 17's with 205/40/17 Potenza S0-3 Pole Positions in the summer, and 15's with 195/55/15 Blizzak's in the winter. As far as looks go, I like the 17's WAY better. I haven't driven on the 15's with anything but winter tires on em so I can't really speak on the performance differences in the two.

Speaking of rims, are honda's wheels still made by Enkei? I know for sure that the HX's were, but were any other wheels?

De-ricing

15s with nice tires on a Civic , can't go wrong.

no idea on weight, shouldn't matter much

I want some Si 15s for My 2000 Civic EX.
getting 13mm OEM rear anti-sway bar first though

arent 2004 ex wheels
the same as 99-00 SI wheels??
6spoke, polished 15" right?

well those are really nice wheels if they are,
one of the nicest looking wheels you can put on a civic, definetely worth the trade with your friend,
yeah you might be able to make more money selling off the paradas, you could probly get a good ammount for them I think,
but those 17's are probably another story.
and you'd be hooking up your friend too so go for it!

I think the 04's have a curve or rounded portion. They are very similar though.

yes HX rims are made by enkei. I'm not sure if the '04 EX rims are though. the '04 HFP are made by enkei though

I think the '04 EX rims would look nice..not many people sport them. Not yet atleast =P They actually cost close to and often more than $600 on ebay with tires. Since they are new they are worth a lot still.
